Robert Kraft, New England Patriots Owner, Busted for Role in Prostitution Ring
Earlier this month, Robert Kraft earned his sixth Super Bowl ring when the professional football team he owns defeated the Los Angeles Rams in the ugliest title game in recent memory.
Just a few weeks later, who would have guessed that Kraft would now be known for something even more ugly?
That also centers around a ring?
Amazing segue aside, TMZ and other outlets have confirmed the following bombshell:
Police have issued a warrant for Kraft arrest as part of a recent prostitution and human trafficking sting operation in Jupiter, Florida.
In a press conference this morning, Jupiter Police Chief Daniel Kerr said the 77-year-old Kraft will be charged with “soliciting another to commit prostitution, adding that Kraft himself is accused of soliciting a prostitute on at least two different occasions at a massage parlor in Florida about “a month ago.”
And it sounds as if the evidence against Kraft is pretty strong.
Cops say they’ve obtained evidence from body cam and surveillance video operations that have been conducted over the past several months.
This sting was apparently very widespread, involving Homeland Security, the IRS, the Jupiter Police Department and the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities can say with strong certainty that Kraft was driven to these massage parlors by a chauffeur and that the services for which he paid run $ 59 or $ 79 per hour.
He will be charged with a misdemeanor and will have to appear in court.
For the non-major sports fans out there:
Kraft is the chairman and chief executive officer of the Kraft Group.
This is a diversified holding company with assets in paper and packaging, sports and entertainment, real estate development and a private equity portfolio.
He purchased a majority ownership in the Patriots in 1998 and also owns Major League Soccer’s New England Revolution, and Gillette Stadium, where both teams play.
Kraft was married to Myra Kraft from 1963 until her death in 2011.
He has been dating Ricki Noel Lander since 2012; she has a child, but she says Kraft is not the biological father.
As for the investigation itself?
Officials say the women who allegedly heads up this sex trafficking ring operated out of local spas, which billed themselves as regular, non-sexual massage parlors.
The investigation took roughly eight months and those who led say they’ve identified more than 100 men suspected of being “Johns,” or clients.
Kraft was last seen out during NBA All-Star Weekend a few days ago — wearing a diamond necklace around his neck that read “Championships.”
Did we mention he’s 77 years old?
Kraft has not yet responded to these allegations.
